Designer II - Military Veterans

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Review project specifications.
- Review quote to verify what was sold to the client.
- Review design instructions, plot plan, flow diagrams, and supplier information.
- Perform computer layouts using specifications, standard drawings, design instructions, plot plan, flow diagrams, line list and supplier information.
- Complete computer drawings, Compressor Packages: General Arrangements plan and elevation, P&IDs, skid, and vessels.
- Complete computer drawings, Compressor Stations: Prepare plot plan, P&IDs, ISO's Civil and Structural.
- Create Drawings in CadWorx and in AutoCad
- Run ASME code calcs for vessels. i.e. Compress Codeware program.
- Responsible for all dimensions on drawings.
- Ability to Check Drawings Dimensionally
- Performs other functions/duties as required.
Required education or minimum level:
- High School Diploma (GED)
- Associate Degree preferred or Technical Degree
Experience:
- 3-6 years designing and documenting mechanical, pipe, structural and civil experience
- Working knowledge in compression, production equipment and process equipment
- Experience in related industry
Software Knowledge:
- Proficient using 3-D CadWorx design; proficient using complete Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, etc.), proficient with email system, Microsoft Outlook preferred; AutoCAD.
- Must have the ability to develop system design CAD files or drawings in conformance with project specifications, scope of work, design parameters, codes, and industry practices. Work assignments should be made based on the training and experience of the designer weighed against the complexity of the equipment and piping.
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational and planning skills
Physical Power: Walks, sits, stands in place, arm/wrist/hand movement, lifts. Must be able to work under deadline pressure. Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department.
