Accounting Manager, Central Technology & Data - Military Veterans

The Accounting Manager of Central Technology & Data plays a crucial role in leading and managing the Central Tech & Data Close and Controllership Team within the Global Operations & Technology Finance organization. In addition to the responsibilities outlined below, this position requires strong leadership skills to guide and inspire a team of financial professionals towards achieving departmental and organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

Financial Close and Related Tasks:

  • Lead the management of the disbursement approvals process and review/booking of journal entries.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely management of accruals.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth financial close operations.
  • Review of accounting associate's monthly journal entries
Execute SOX and Operational Controls:
  • Develop and implement effective SOX and operational controls that ensure the quality of financial results.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve compliance issues and maintain GAAP accounting standards.
  • Lead the completion of SOX requirements.
Account Reconciliations:
  • Ensure compliance with the Chubb global account reconciliation policy by leading and reviewing account reconciliations.
  • Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues in account balances.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of reconciliations.
Work in partnership with the Central Tech Genpact BPO Resources:
  • Collaborate with the Central Tech Genpact BPO resources to ensure the smooth execution of financial close activities.
  • Provide guidance, support, and training to BPO resources as needed.
  • Oversee the performance and adherence to process guidelines of the Central Tech Genpact BPO resources.


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field. Advanced degree or certifications such as CPA or Masters in Accounting are a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, financial close, or related financial roles, preferably within Operations or Technology functions.
  • Demonstrable history of successfully collaborating with internal and external auditors during audit processes.
  • Strong understanding of SOX compliance and experience in execution.
  • Proven ability to provide effective leadership and supervision to a team of financial professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating collaboration within the team and across departments.
  • Detail-oriented approach with a proactive mindset for identifying risks and implementing best practices.
