Digital Transformation - Senior Engineer - Military Veterans

General Information:

Establish and maintain cost control procedures. Liaise with planning, cost, and estimating engineering functions and accounting/administrative functions on cost control matters. Monitors and reports information for master plan roll-ups. Provide commercial input and technical review of tenders and proposals. Ensure that budget forecasts, progress monitoring, cost reporting and corrective action, information systems procedures meet specific projects requirements. An Expert Professional (P5) is a recognized master in professional discipline typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Typically responsible for: Establishing operational plans for job area. Developing and implementing new products, processes, standards or operational plans that will have impact on the achievement of functional results. Requires communication with leadership.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Standardize operational reports across the organization to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Custom Power Apps Development:
  • Develop custom Power Apps to streamline and automate operational processes.
  • Ensure Power Apps are user-friendly, scalable, and aligned with business requirements.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on the effective use of Power Apps.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for digital transformation.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.

Your Background:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Experience:
    • Good to have working experience in PGTR (DT/PT/I&C)
    • Significant experience (>10 years) in business intelligence, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in creating reports, dashboards, and developing custom Power Apps.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools.
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate.
    • Familiarity with SQL, data modeling, and database management.
    • Exposure to Data Fabric and Co-pilot
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
