Responsibilities
About the role
The Competitive Pricing Intelligence Analyst is responsible for analysis, modeling, and reporting on factors that impact GM and GM Financial. This position will use analysis, forecasting, and modeling concepts to determine the impact of program incentives on GM and GMF performance. The Analyst will proactively use a variety of competitive intelligence to define and explain market trends. They will be responsible for summarizing and reporting this information to a variety of internal clients. This position will interact with many other departments in the interest of achieving the overall company objectives.
In this role you will:
- Proactively monitor and report relevant changes in lender and manufacturer market share as well as the key incentive drivers
- Act as subject matter expert regarding all competitive data sources
- Identify gaps in competitive information and look for additional sources to fill them
- Create and manage an organized and efficient collection process for competitor program sheets
- Monitor state level pricing performance and make recommendations in line with company profit and share objectives
- Conduct ad hoc research projects incorporating project design, data collection and analysis, summarization of findings, and presentation of results
- Present analyses to management in a clear, concise, convincing, and actionable format
Qualifications
What makes you a dream candidate?
- Knowledge of finance, statistics, accounting, and/or financial services
- Knowledge of PC software applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Understanding of products and related work processes in area of responsibility
- Good understanding of the sales and credit divisions
- Ability to work in SAS, SQL, and Access
- Detail oriented and able to manage multiple tasks/deadlines
- Ability to utilize analytical skills
- Good skills in Excel features such as Pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, and creating customized functions
Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred

OUR BUSINESS & OUR HISTORY
GM Financial was founded as AmeriCredit in September 1992 and opened its first branch office in Fort Worth, Texas. On October 1, 2010, AmeriCredit Corp. was acquired by General Motors Company and renamed General Motors Financial Company, Inc. (GM Financial). In 2011, GM Financial acquired FinanciaLinx to serve GM dealers and customers throughout Canada. In November 2012, GM Financial announced the acquisition of Ally Financial Inc.’s international operations. The majority of those acquisitions were finalized in 2013, with the remaining market, a 35 percent equity interest in a joint venture in China, acquired in January 2015. In October 2017, GM Financial completed the sale of its European financial subsidiaries and branches as part of General Motors’ sale of the Opel and Vauxhall businesses to Peugeot S.A.
