Retention and Enrollment Services Specialist | Loyola Marymount University - Military Veterans

The Retention and Enrollment Services Specialist will assist Enrollment Management's retention efforts and support at risk continuing students navigating enrollment barriers to degree progression and completion. This role requires outreach and direct contact with current and former LMU students as well as strong collaboration with internal stakeholders across the University. Position Specific Responsibilities/Accountabilities Conducts outreach to at-risk continuing students to facilitate retention and success. Partners closely with the Office of the Registrar and Financial Aid, among other key units, to address identified student challenges. Collaborates with the University's academic colleges and schools on outreach to at-risk continuing students. Counsels returning undergraduate students on the return from leave of absence or re-admissions process. Process and evaluate the applications for students returning via readmission. Requisite Qualifications Typically a Master's Degree or equivalent experience. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of regulation/policy changes. Minimum 3 years of experience in university admission, financial aid, or other area of higher education. Ability to use superior judgment, sensitivity and discretion. Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills (both written and oral). Highly developed organizational and leadership skills, and attention to detail, with an ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated computer and technical competency.
