Construction Manager - Military Veterans

A Construction Manager is needed for a leader in the world of Technical Services and Engineering in the Hartford, CT area. This role will supervise and ensure quality control for the replacement of 115-kV underground transmission lines with XLPE cables, overseeing field crews and compliance with safety and construction standards.

salary: $45 - 55 per hour


work hours: 8am to 4pm


education: Bachelors


 


responsibilities:




  • Provide general supervision of field work, including activities by Owner's crews and external contractors.

  • Ensure adherence to Underground Construction Standards through inspection and quality assurance.

  • Review and verify all construction work against applicable standards.

  • Record inspection results and ensure documentation is completed in a timely manner as per Owner's requirements.

  • Submit verified inspections, checklists, non-conformance forms, and other reports to the Maintenance and Construction Manager or designee.


Skills:





  • Expertise in street construction, utility services, and underground installations.

  • strong knowledge of safety standards and procedures.

  • Proficiency in quality control and compliance with construction standards.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure project timelines are met.

  • Effective communication and documentation skills.


Experience:





  • 2-5 years of experience in underground medium and high-voltage electrical infrastructure.

  • Knowledge of underground electric, gas, sewer, water, and street excavation for utility services.
