Job Description:
Position Summary:
This role is responsible for overseeing our Class 9 warehouse space to offer customs bonded warehousing as well as Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) to support multiple potential customer solutions.
Here's what you'll do:
- Prepare and audit 3PL alcohol and tobacco export documentation for vessel shipments and settlements with the Ocean Carriers and Government Agencies.
- Work closely with the dry export 3PL team, Suppliers and Government Agencies, to process commercial invoice documents by validating data integrity and accuracy.
- Provide bi-annual and annual inventory logs for Government Agencies and US Customs and Border Protection Office audits.
- Create, submit, and file all MDR's (Manifest Discrepancy Reports) and claims with the CBP office and Government agencies.
- Must continue to keep a security clearance status to include being a Bonded associate under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security regulations for a Class 9 Operations
- Continue mandatory annual security clearance courses to continue access into the AAFES (Army Air Force Exchange Services) internal data base system.
- Re-enroll every 2 years for background check to remain on security clearance status with the TEAMS U.S. Government Electronic Shipper System - ESS
- Maintaining Level 1 high security clearance into the US Customs website with entries and validations in accordance with the US Customs regulatory laws.
- Ensuring C-TPAT Compliance with US Customs regulations.
- Maintaining value-added services.
- Working closely with the licensed customs brokers to ensure proper US Customs documentation regarding Customs tax documentation.
- Submit timely document instructions to freight forwarders, independent surveyors and other third- party industry providers.
- Familiar with Ace Ocean CAMIR: electronic transmitting of data to the CBP automated systems to include CBP Form 300 rolling inventory.
- Familiar with the Jones Act, as set forth in Executive order 13891 and interpretations thereof.
- CPB Ruling USPV for Puerto Rico shipments.
Here's what you'll need:
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year of general office/administrative/customer service experience strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in Import/Export operations and documentations a plus.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good data entry, typing, organizational, and attention to detail skills.
- Must be able to read documents for data entry, and must be able to file records alphabetically, numerically and chronologically.
- Ability to handle and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel).
