Senior Estimator - Military Veterans

AIM World Services, Inc. needs a responsible Senior Estimator for the overall implementation of construction cost estimating supporting our US Government Clients and our Project Teams. The Senior Estimator ensures company requirements are met, provides quantitative development of material, labor, and subcontract take-offs, and coordinates information. High function and focus is required for large to mid-sized projects. Must have strong technical communication skills.





Duties



  • Develop the estimate plan and coordinate estimate development with the Project Team


  • Development of project estimates, detailed and conceptual


  • Prepare project basis of estimate


  • Prepare estimate risk analysis and make cost contingency recommendations


  • Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines


  • Actively promote innovative ideas and solutions


  • Work quickly in a high-stress US Government project environment, multiple projects


  • Other duties as assigned




Experience & Qualifications



  • Undergraduate degree in applicable field of study is preferred


  • Ten years of work-related experience


  • Technical knowledge of and for US Government construction projects


  • Current understanding of estimating techniques in engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction


  • Knowledge of Cost Competitive Execution, Excel to Win, Business Risk Management Framework (BRMF) and Strategy to Win


  • Seasoned expertise to ensure that all pertinent information is updated in relation to the present scope of work


  • Excellent analytical and computer skills


  • Knowledge of lump-sum and cost reimbursable estimating, self-perform and construction management execution, internal cost systems, progressing systems, level 1 and 2 schedules, work breakdown structures and project status reports


  • A comprehensive understanding of the Purchase Order


  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
