Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Equipment Operator Manager to lead our equipment function within the assigned Area of Responsibility (AOR). You will supervise teams of Equipment Operators who handle various power construction equipment to execute tasks such as excavation, soil movement, grading, and structural erections. Your role involves effective communication with clients, project personnel, and team members, ensuring proper maintenance and repair of equipment, and adherence to safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Manage equipment and personnel based on project priorities.
- Communicate effectively with clients, project personnel, and team members.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair of assigned equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements at all times.
- Complete necessary administrative requirements.
- Perform duties of subordinate personnel as needed.
- Perform sweeper operations in accordance with the requirements of the PWS, the MOA between 386 ECES and 386 EOSS, and Appendix F on the AASAB airfield and associated taxiways and ramps, including the "Rock” and the "Quarry” areas.
- Provide 24-hour on-call sweeper operations capability with a 15-minute response time for airfield operations.
- May supervise employees or subcontractor personnel in line with general supervisory duties and responsibilities.
- Work environments may vary from conventional indoor office space to project worksites with challenging conditions.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at an intermediate level.
- Basic skills and physical ability to perform assigned job functions.
- High school diploma / GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 6 to 9 years of related experience.
- Proficiency in using email, Microsoft Office, or specialized applications.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have a Secret Security Clearance.
- Must be certified and able to operate equipment.
- 2 years of airfield driving and operator experience or equivalent construction operator experience.
- Prior military and/or contingency experience.
