Job Overview:
AIM World Services is seeking an experienced General Superintendent to oversee the daily operations of multiple construction projects on Tinian Island. The General Superintendent will be responsible for managing the worksite, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and extensive experience in construction management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of construction projects from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, and coordination of crews.
- Manage and lead a team of site supervisors, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and environmental requirements.
- Work closely with project managers to develop and monitor construction schedules, ensuring efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, identifying any issues or delays and implementing solutions.
- Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with contract specifications, plans, and quality standards.
- Manage the ordering and delivery of materials, equipment, and supplies to ensure worksite productivity.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of site activities, including work performed, personnel involved, and equipment used.
- Foster a collaborative environment between team members, clients, and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years as a Superintendent.
- Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects in remote or international locations.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality control standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment and meet project deadlines.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in construction management or a related field is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working on projects in the Pacific region or other remote locations.
- Familiarity with U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) construction projects and standards.
- OSHA certification or equivalent safety training.
