Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to oversee and manage the construction and engineering aspects of a batch plant project on Tinian Island. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in construction engineering, with a strong focus on batch plant operations or similar industrial facilities. The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the project meets technical, safety, and regulatory standards while staying within budget and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight & Management:
Lead and manage all technical and engineering aspects of the batch plant construction, ensuring compliance with project designs, plans, and specifications. - Design & Implementation:
Review and evaluate engineering designs, drawings, and technical documents for accuracy and feasibility. Ensure that the construction process follows all design specifications and adjust as necessary to accommodate site conditions or unforeseen issues. - Coordination with Construction Teams:
Work closely with construction managers, subcontractors, and other engineering professionals to ensure seamless coordination throughout all project phases. Provide technical guidance and solutions when issues arise. - Quality Assurance & Safety:
Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure that construction meets the highest standards of engineering and safety. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and environmental standards on-site. - Budget & Resource Management:
Assist in the preparation and oversight of project budgets, managing resources efficiently to ensure that the project is completed on time and within financial constraints. - Scheduling & Reporting:
Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating with different teams to ensure milestones are met. Prepare regular progress reports for stakeholders, highlighting any delays or challenges. - Problem-Solving & Risk Mitigation:
Identify potential risks or problems within the project and develop strategies to mitigate or resolve these issues. Offer technical expertise in overcoming on-site construction challenges. - Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are informed about project progress, design modifications, and technical specifications.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering, with a strong focus on batch plant construction or similar large-scale industrial projects.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing construction projects, including design implementation, resource allocation, and technical oversight.
- Strong knowledge of engineering standards, construction techniques, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in remote and challenging environments.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams and ensure collaboration between different departments and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
