Job Description
Memorial Sloan Kettering is seeking a Supervisor of Environmental Services for our 53rd street location.
The Environmental Services team plays a significant role in providing exceptional service by ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Service is at the heart of what we do in Support Services, and we pride ourselves on the fact that each of our employees delivers first-class service to our patients.
We are looking for an engaged leader who will help lead the administrative, operational, and technical activities of the Environmental Services Department to maintain the cleanliness of a high-volume facility and ensure efficiency and quality service.
Role Overview:
- Champion MSK's vision to lead in Environmental Services by supporting and developing a high-performing team.
- Collaborate with the shift manager to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate team members to encourage growth and accountability.
- Oversee daily operations, prioritize tasks, and ensure all work meets quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with all departmental and regulatory guidelines.
- Participate actively in improvement initiatives and professional development opportunities.
Key Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of supervisory experience with a focus on Environmental Services or a related field preferred.
- Passionate about providing excellent customer service and nurturing team growth.
- Keeps the team moving forward with a clear, positive approach.
- Able to support and lead in a healthcare setting with empathy and strength
Core Skills:
- Knowledge of Environmental Services equipment and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Collaborative team player with a flexible, can-do attitude.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively lead and inspire the team.
Additional Information:
- Location: 160 E 53rd St NYC
- Day Shift Monday - Friday; 8am to 4pm. Weekends as needed.
