Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery Faculty - #OBG068 - Military Veterans

The University of Chicago's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is searching for full-time faculty members at any rank to join our team as academic Urogynecologists. Appointees will be responsible for providing outstanding clinical and surgical care to women with pelvic floor disorders. They will actively participate in the education of Urogynecology fellows, OB/GYN residents, and medical students. Additionally, they will be expected to engage in scholarly activities and research to advance the field of Urogynecology. Appointees will provide consultation and surgical services at UChicago's main campus in Hyde Park and the River East location in downtown Chicago. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.

Appointees will join a vibrant and distinguished community of faculty colleagues and learners in UChicago Medicine, the Biological Sciences Division, the Pritzker School of Medicine, and the University of Chicago and its affiliates. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Section of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery foster a culture of supportive research through mentorship and multidisciplinary collaborations. We seek confident clinician-surgeons who have a passion for education and are supportive of and will contribute to our research mission.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be eligible or board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery, 4) have completed an ACGME-accredited residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology or Urology, and 5) have completed an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery.
