Sr. Research Program Coordinator - Military Veterans

The mission of the Johns Hopkins P50 Alacrity Center for Health and Longevity in Mental Illness is to decrease premature mortality and improve overall health for persons with chronic mental illnesses. We are seeking a Sr. Research Program Coordinator to support implementation of the Center?s evidence-based behavioral lifestyle interventions for adults with serious mental illness (SMI) and children with serious emotional disturbances (SED). The Sr. Research Program Coordinator?s primary responsibilities are to participate in the adaptation of intervention care management and health education materials, training of community implementers, and delivery of implementation strategies.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Work closely with co-investigators as part of the intervention team and other research staff and faculty to ensure the project is maximally effective and impactful.
- Serve as a contributor at multiple levels of project execution, including creating intervention content and training materials.
- Help train community mental health staff at a variety of sites across multiple states to delivery study interventions.
- Help facilitate Community Working Groups during the planning phase.
- Help keep projects on schedule according to project timelines.
- Work directly with the Intervention Team in the logistical and operational tasks of the projects, as needed and with study investigators to promote quality delivery of multiple programs among study implementers.
- Under direction of PI, plan and execute research studies including recruitment and intervention planning and delivery.
- Engage study sites and individual providers to participate in the project.
- Support the research team by contributing to the development of recruitment materials and presentations to study sites.
- Deliver implementation strategies to providers such as program assistance, coaching, facilitation, and peer learning network meetings.
- Travel to study sites in Baltimore City and throughout Maryland.

- Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction.
- Finger dexterity to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm, for example, using a keyboard.
- Communication skills using the spoken and written word.
- Ability to move about workspace.
Additional Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Interest in working with professionals who serve the mentally ill/disadvantaged populations.
- Attention to detail required, as well as the ability to work independently and manage multiple and competing priorities.
- Outstanding organizational, time management, and written communication skills.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with study implementers, Principal Investigators, and other team members.
- Able to work flexibly during weekday hours with variable work conditions.
- Must have reliable internet access for routine videoconference meetings with research team and study implementers.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
- Three years related experience.
- Ability to work in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and Outlook.
- Must have reliable transportation to study sites in Baltimore City and throughout Maryland.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Starting Salary Range: $41,300 - $72,300 Annually ($56,800 targeted; Commensurate with experience)
