Job Duties: The purpose of this position in the Center for Telepsychiatry and e-Behavioral Health (CTeBH) is to provide a full range of psychiatric services to patients and their families, including, but not limited to: Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluation including a comprehensive mental status examination. Order, conduct, and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests. Diagnose psychiatric disorders based on DSM -IV-R criteria. Plan treatment in collaboration with patients, families, and colleagues. Provide indicated treatments based on scientific and evidence-based principles, using, but not limited to, the following interventions: prescribing pharmacologic agents, prescribing non-pharmacologic cognitive, behavioral, and other psychotherapies, patient and family education, and referral to other health professional and resources. Documents all relevant data according to clinical and regulatory standards Duties are performed under the guidelines established by the state board of medical examiners and in collaboration with a licensed physician.
