The Pulmonary Tech I shall be responsible for: Performs a variety of state-of-the-art pulmonary function tests on patients of all ages with and without bronchodilators. Assembles data collected, performs calculations, assesses the quality of the study, generates reports, informs and discusses results with referring physician. Performs sweat testing on patients of all ages. Analysis requires use of analytical bench skills. Continuously assesses patient performance and instrument function during testing. Reviews test results to ensure validity and quality. Makes recommendations to requesting provider regarding further testing. Communicates assessments to physician and supervisor. Maintains and calibrates equipment, according to standard. Repairs and troubleshoots equipment when possible. Processes and verify patient billing statistics, as needed. Participates in the training and education of new employees and fel In order to qualify you must have: Work requires a Bachelor's Degree and up to one year of basic technical training in pulmonary function testing. Work requires the analytical skills to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles. Work requires the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
