Adjunct Faculty in the Medical Humanities Program, Georgetown University College of Arts and Sciences Georgetown University: Main Campus: College of Arts & Sciences Location: Washington, DC Open Date: Dec 12, 2024 Deadline: Description The Georgetown Medical Humanities Initiative invites applications for adjunct instructors to teach core and elective courses in the Medical Humanities Program within the Georgetown University College of Arts and Sciences for the 2025-2026 academic year. Teaching Opportunities Priority will be given to candidates interested in: Teaching core courses Developing new elective courses Team teaching Approved 3 credit courses will be eligible for senior undergraduate, graduate, or medical student Teaching Assistants. Core Courses include: Introduction to Medical Humanities (MHUM 1101) Senior Capstone Seminar in Medical Humanities (MHUM 4960) Qualifications Candidates should possess: A doctoral degree (MD or PhD in humanities or social sciences) Demonstrated expertise in medical humanities Teaching experience and/or publications in medical humanities-related fields, including but not limited to: Literature and medicine Narrative medicine History of health and medicine Medical anthropology Medical sociology Science and technology studies Visual and performing arts and health Application Instructions Application Instructions: Please submit the following materials: Curriculum vitae Teaching statement Representative student/peer teaching evaluations Letter of interest Interest teaching Core, Elective, or both Sample syllabus Applications should be submitted through Interfolio.
