The following duties, responsibilities, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's), and physical requirements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. Under general supervision from the Executive Director, Physical Plant, and direct supervision from the Associate Director, Physical Plant, the incumbent performs a wide range of facilities services repair and maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, carpentry, painting, and grounds. The incumbent may also operate light industrial equipment, grounds equipment, and drive maintenance vehicles.HighSchool Diploma/High School Equivalency andtwo (2)yearsdirectly related full-time work experience.Part-time experiencewillbeaccepted butwillbeproratedandmustequal two (2) yearsoffull-timeworkexperience. Must have a valid Texas Driver's License to operate Temple College vehicles between buildings at off-campus sites. Theincumbent will: Monitor, maintain, andperformstandard repairstobuilding electrical facilities andsystems suchaslight fixtures,tubes,fixtures,switches,andoutlets; assists licensedelectricianswithnon-technicalrepairsasappropriate. Monitor performanceofheating,ventilation,andcooling systems forthefacility;assists Master Trade Specialist III as appropriate; performsstandard repair/replacementofcomponentsasappropriateandnon-technicalmaintenancetaskssuchascleaning ofheatingandcooling fancoilunits,adjustmentofsystemcontrols, andreplacing airfilterelements. Monitor andperform non-technicalmaintenanceofplumbing systems, toincludestandardrepairofleaking fixtures;assist plumbers as appropriate; clean obstructed wastelines,install waterand wastewater lines, and/orperformingnon-technicalmodificationstoplumbing andwatersupplysystems. Performcarpentry maintenancetasksincluding routinesheetrock/drywallinstallationand/orrepair,window replacement,cabinet andcountertopreplacement, texturing andpainting; doorandhardwareinstallation;andpaintsinterior andexterior finishes, asappropriate. Operate lightindustrial outdoor equipment suchasmowers, powerequipment,andsmalltractors.
