Job Summary: The rural Simulation Technician is responsible for preparing and maintaining skills lab equipment, supplies, media, computers, and materials related to simulation learning in rural communities and through the mobile simulation unit ( MSU ) specifically. Essential Duties: Responsible for proper setup, reset, operation, breakdown, and technical support of simulation activities in the MSU . Drive and operate mobile patient simulator unit with trainers during simulation activities. Provide training to healthcare professionals on the use of simulation equipment, including operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Conduct preventative maintenance checks and services of simulation equipment while adhering to all established protocols. Communicate repairs and troubleshooting to appropriate personnel. Maintain and document current knowledge of simulation equipment, supplies, media, computers, moulage, and materials related to simulation learning. Maintain travel arrangements and logistics, including scheduling transportation, and accommodation, to ensure timely arrival at various locations. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in supporting disciplines such as biomedical, medical, electronics, computer information technologies, supply management, or equivalent required. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree preferred. One (1) year of simulation-based experience in the healthcare profession. Paramedic experience. Class B CDL preferred but must be willing to obtain if applicant does not already have.
