The Department of Economics at Rice University in Houston, TX, invites applications for an Assistant Professor position to begin on July 1, 2025. The individual selected for this position will teach undergraduate and graduate classes in Macroeconomics, conduct high-quality research in Macroeconomics, publish papers in top journals, and present at conferences. Candidates should show evidence of research excellence and a commitment to teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. The minimum educational requirement is a Ph.D. in economics. Ph.D. requirements must be fulfilled by June 30, 2025. The Economics Department is a dynamic unit within Rice?s School of Social Sciences that has hired over a dozen outstanding scholars in recent years and is committed to pathbreaking research and exceptional teaching.
