Posting Number: S06100P Department: ECS Student Services Salary Range: Commensurate with Experience Pay Basis: Monthly Position Status: Regular full-time Location: Richardson Job Description: The Director of Advising works in partnership with and as part of the Jonsson School Office of Undergraduate Affairs. The Director will serve as the Head Advisor for ECS . The Director will provide leadership for professional academic advising staff, oversee the administration and management of undergraduate academic advising, and collaborate with academic departments and programs across campus on issues of student success and ensure best practices are followed to support student success. The Director will work closely with the Director of Career Services and Professional Development and the Director of Success and Retention. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in counseling or a related field and 8 years experience working with college students in an academic counseling or advising capacity; or Master's degree & six years' experience as described above. Preferred Education and Experience: Ph.D. Preferred; Excellent leadership, supervisory, planning, problem solving, organizational, project management skills. Ability to establish strategic goals and develop implementation plans to achieve results.
