Asset Manager for Campus Services Job Identification: 17859 Posting Date: Job Schedule: Locations: Degree Level: Job Description: What We're Looking For The Asset Manager is responsible for overseeing the tracking, maintenance, and disposition of campus assets, including equipment and supplies used in various Campus Services operations. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and analytical skills to ensure efficient asset management and compliance with university policies in coordination with other university departments. A bachelor's degree and two years of relevant work experience are required. Four years of relevant experience is preferred. Additional education or experience will be considered in lieu of one another. A valid United States Driver License with a clear driving record of at least two years is required. Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a Full-Time basis. What You Will Do Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all Campus Services assets, utilizing inventory management systems and databases. Monitoring the installation and disposition of equipment to ensure precise record-keeping. Tag equipment valued under $5,000 and coordinate tagging for higher-value items with Asset Accounting. Implement and oversee asset tracking procedures to ensure accountability and traceability of equipment across Campus Services. Develop and manage maintenance records for all equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. This role involves coordinating with Baylor Facilities Services and contracted service providers to ensure that regular maintenance and repairs are completed as scheduled. Document all activities and outcomes related to maintenance, ensuring a comprehensive record of service history and facilitating timely interventions when necessary. Responsible for recording the installation of new equipment and the disposition of surplus or obsolete equipment, ensuring compliance with university policies and sustainability practices. Coordinate with the Procurement Office to determine whether items are eligible for sale, donation, or recycling. Handle the necessary documentation and reporting associated with these processes, ensuring a transparent and efficient approach to asset management. Prepare and present regular reports on asset management activities, including tracking metrics, maintenance schedules, and disposition status, to the Senior Director. Analyze asset utilization and maintenance trends to inform decision-making and enhance operational efficiency. By providing actionable insights and data-driven recommendations, the Asset Manager will support continuous improvement in asset management practices across Campus Services. Support the Senior Director in fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence. Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission. Ability to comply with University policies.
