Home Lending Reg W -Lead Business Accountability Specialist - Military Veterans

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Home Lending Reg W Lead in the Home Lending business.

In this role, you will:

  • Execute key controls associated with identifying and tracking Reg W covered transactions between applicable affiliates including coordinating with offshore resources that drive this process
  • Prepare and maintain accurate Home Lending Reg W capital allocation reporting for internal stakeholders and regulatory entities, as necessary
  • Monitor Home Lending Reg W capital allocations to ensure Home Lending is operating within Reg W limits and take appropriate action when Home Lending is approaching limits
  • Serve as key Home Lending liaison between Compliance, Risk, Treasury and Reg W Governance Office to coordinate Reg W review meetings and escalate issues as necessary
  • Assist in maintaining and updating policies and procedures to reflect changes in Reg W and Home Lending processes
  • Monitor Reg W system of record to ensure all Reg W transactions have been accurately identified, reported, properly collateralized, conducted on market terms, and are in compliance with Reg W
  • Lead complex initiatives with broad impact which are designed to mitigate current and emerging business risk issues and concerns; act as key participant in cross-functional planning for the business
  • Assess, analyze, and design complex and multi-faceted controls, protocols, and approaches with respect to risk mitigation and the control environment, including ensuring effective planning for sustainability, ongoing control adherence, reporting, measurement, technology impacts, and monitoring
  • Make decisions in complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business's functional area or products, operations, and regulatory environment; facilitate decision-making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans; influence and lead key business partners to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid to senior-level managers to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations, and provide guidance in interpreting, developing, and implementing risk-mitigating strategies
  • Act as liaison for the business with external parties to support timeliness, appropriate response strategy, and effectiveness of communications and materials


Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of risk management, business controls, quality assurance, business operations, compliance, or process experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of Reg W, including but not limited to, affiliate transactions, Attribution Rule, Reg W capital and collateral requirements and exemptions
  • Experience developing monthly reports for key financial/regulatory purposes
  • Strong attention to detail and proficiency in analyzing large datasets using reporting tools such as Excel and Tableau
  • Home Lending and/or Wealth and Investment Management experience including product/account knowledge
  • Experience in risk management and/or compliance
  • Cross-functional collaboration and excellent communication skills
