Position Summary
The Retail Analytics team is helping lead the effort to drive improved consumer experience by partnering with key business areas across CVS Health to deliver impactful analytic solutions and insights. As a member of the Analytics & Behavior Change (A&BC) Merchandising Analytics team, you will be at the forefront of delivering high visibility projects for key strategic priorities. Our team is responsible for designing, building, and delivering data science solutions and decision support tools to support a product assortment that better fits the needs of our customers, driving revenue and customer satisfaction for CVS Health’s Front Store business. We are a fast-paced team focused on building innovative analytic solutions using AI/ML and cloud capabilities.
As a Solution Delivery Manager, you will be expected to collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver end to end assortment solutions. We are looking for talented individuals who have a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and a desire to deliver high quality end to end intuitive and impactful analytic products using advanced data driven approaches. This role provides excellent exposure to multiple businesses, category managers, and leaders across the organization. This role can be remote; however, occasional travel to Woonsocket, RI office is required. New England candidates preferred.
The Solution Delivery Manager will:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business needs and convert them into requirements for solution enhancements or ad hoc analyses
- Guide overall roadmap for enterprise assortment solutions that deploy complex data science models through interactive user interfaces
- Work within a cross-functional analytics team of data scientists, analysts, data engineers and developers to execute solution upgrades and analyses
- Define objectives and key milestones to meet short and long term needs of business stakeholders and oversee project management activities including team communication, leadership updates, stakeholder management and timelines
- Independently execute ad hoc analyses to answer high priority business questions, test hypotheses and discover opportunities
- Develop and leverage in-depth knowledge of Retail Merchandising business processes and translate key drivers of business value to analytic opportunities
- Organize, collect, and standardize data visualization techniques to effectively communicate analytical results, insights, and support business decisions
- Develop and maintain relationships with wide range of stakeholders including business partners, IT, other data, and analytic teams, legal, etc.
- Mentor junior team members to provide solution strategy and technical advice
- Interact with internal and external peers and management to share progress and/or to gain acceptance of new or enhanced technology / business solutions
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of consulting or strategy experience in the retail or technology industry.
- 3+ years of business analytics experience, leading high visibility analyses and initiatives with a track record of business impact: including end-to-end building and delivering data and analytics solutions or products that are scaled to enterprise application.
- 1+ years of experience in the retail merchandising domain expertise including areas such as assortment optimization, category management, product clustering, store clustering and localization
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years designing and implementing products that leverage AI/ML and advanced analytics to solve for assortment decisions in a brick-and-mortar retail context
- Problem solving skills and experience in translating business problems across disciplines into advanced analytic projects with measurable business value
- Excellent written and oral communication and data presentation skills, with ability to communicate technical concepts / solutions to business partners
- Excellent project management skills, ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment and work in a climate of ambiguity
- Experience with managing large scale projects, leading multiple workstreams and working with multiple business stakeholders in a matrixed environment to influence decision-making
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience with a variety of analytic processes and techniques, including development of measurement methodologies, statistical significance testing, rules-based and machine learning modeling, and data visualizations
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience working with large data sources and proficiency in latest cloud based advanced tools and platforms
Education
BA/BS degree required
MBA preferred
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$101,970.00 - $203,940.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
