Job Overview
The Curricular Enhancement, Development, Access, and Research Language Resource Center (CEDAR LRC) is seeking to hire a Program Coordinator for a one-year position, renewable for up to five additional years (subject to the renewal of the grant). The CEDAR LRC is funded by a federal grant from the United Stated Department of Education (https://www2.ed.gov/programs/iegpslrc/index.html) and has the mission of serving the nation in the provision, enhancement, and evaluation of language curriculum materials that will create transformative experiences for learners and educators. The Program Coordinator will report directly to the two center Co-Directors.
The full-time Program Coordinator will provide continuous logistical support to Co-Directors and individual Program Directors regarding budgeting, access to resources, and setup and maintenance of digital project components (open educational resources, center website, etc.). The Program Coordinator will also organize and support center events such as the Summer Language Institute, the center webinar series, and program evaluation trainings. Finally, the Program Coordinator will disseminate information about the CEDAR LRC?s activities via the center?s social media presence.
Essential Functions
? Design/create and conduct seminars, classes, workshops or programs.
? Develop program objectives and monitor quantitative and qualitative data on progress toward objectives. Review objectives to identify problems and solutions, prioritize solutions and develop action steps for program improvement.
? Provide financial administrative support for program initiatives.
? Develop, administer and analyze assessment/evaluation questionnaires. Compile statistics and prepare reports.
? Develop and implement marketing strategies to recruit students and program participants.
? Interact with staff faculty, external agencies and other university departments.
? May conduct research and analyze relevant literature, other benchmark information to develop grant proposals, new program ideas and propose program changes.
? May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
? Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.
Required Education
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Required Experience
One (1) year of program coordination experience.
