Education: Develop, educate, and mentor the next generation of scholars and leaders equipped to tackle the most critical challenges in digital health. The Industry Affiliates Program Manager is a key driver in the growth and success of Stanford University's Industry Affiliates Program within CDH. This role involves identifying, cultivating, and securing partnerships with corporations, organizations, and foundations interested in collaborating with the CDH's research centers, faculty, and students. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of both the academic research landscape and industry needs within the digital health sector, with a proven ability to build relationships and negotiate mutually beneficial partnerships. The network of leaders and experts connected to the Stanford CDH provides an exclusive look at the technologies and groups that are shaping the future of healthcare. Location: Stanford Research Park and Stanford; Hybrid (3-4 days/week onsite) Duties Include: Support development and implementation of a strategic plan for acquiring new industry affiliates for the CDH, including targeted outreach, relationship building, and presentations. Identify and prioritize potential industry partners aligned with the CDH's research strengths and strategic initiatives in digital health. This may include companies focused on telehealth, artificial intelligence in medicine, wearable sensors, health data analytics, and more. Conduct thorough research on potential partners, their R&D needs, and competitive landscapes within the digital health industry. Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers within target organizations, including executives, R&D leaders, and innovation officers. Develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals that showcase the value proposition of the CDH Industry Affiliates Program, emphasizing the unique expertise and resources Stanford offers in digital health. Negotiate partnership agreements and manage ongoing relationships with existing affiliates, ensuring they receive maximum value from their participation. Collaborate with CDH faculty and researchers to understand their research needs and connect them with relevant industry partners. Organize and execute events and workshops to foster interaction between industry affiliates and the Stanford digital health community, such as seminars, networking events, and technology showcases. Track and report on key performance indicators related to affiliate recruitment, engagement, and retention, providing regular updates to CDH leadership. Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to digital health, keeping the CDH at the forefront of innovation. Represent the CDH Industry Affiliates Program at conferences, networking events, and other relevant gatherings in the digital health sector. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Advanced degree in a relevant field (business, engineering, science, public health) preferred. Experience in business development, corporate relations, or a similar role, preferably within the healthcare or technology sectors, preferred. Demonstrated success in securing partnerships and sponsorships preferred. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED): Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED): Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, manage shifting priorities, and handle numerous time-sensitive projects with multiple deadlines. Ability to accomplish goals working through formal and informal channels, with diplomacy and tactfulness. Demonstrated creativity, problem solving, critical analysis, initiative, judgment and, decision-making skills. Demonstrated ability to develop and meet budget goals. Demonstrated solid planning and organizational skills. Demonstrated experience working independently and as part of a team. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Strong relevant subject matter knowledge. Ability to direct the work of others, for jobs requiring supervision. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks. Frequently stand/walk, sitting, grasp lightly/fine manipulation. Occasionally use a telephone. Rarely lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh 11-20 pounds. The expected pay range for this position is $116,849 to $148,275 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
