At DMU you will make a meaningful contribution to the dynamic future of Medicine and Health Sciences. DMU is seeking a Content and Marketing Specialist who will play a vital role in Des Moines Universitys promotional, marketing, storytelling and communication initiatives. The focus of this position will be on creating compelling written content across various platforms to drive brand awareness, engage diverse audiences and support the universitys strategic objectives. What youll do: Support the development and implementation of a comprehensive content strategy that leverages earned, owned and paid media to support the universitys goals. Write, review and edit content for DMUs targeted audiences across multiple channels, including websites, social media, email, donor narratives, news media, print materials, advertising campaigns, videos, multimedia presentations and other promotional channels. Collaborate with subject matter experts to produce accurate and compelling content related to medical and health sciences education, research, community and donor engagement and the Des Moines University Clinic. Acts as the primary communications liaison for designated programs and departments, ensuring their unique stories are told effectively. This could include admissions, student affairs, university advancement, research and the Des Moines University clinic. What we are looking for: Bachelors degree in communications, marketing, journalism or a related field. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in content creation, marketing or similar roles. Experience in higher education or health care settings is a plus.
