POSITION: Assistant Professor of Psychology/Social Psychology
TITLE : Assistant Professor, Tenure Track or Visiting Assistant Professor, Titled, based on applicants qualifications.
START DATE : August 2025

QUALIFICATIONS:
Successful candidates will provide evidence of the following qualifications:
Required:
Ph.D. in Psychology or equivalent terminal degree (completed by September 1, 2025); Masters degree may be considered with substantial teaching experience
Prior successful college-level teaching experience in psychology
Promise of continued scholarly activity
Ability to engage undergraduates in research, academic advising, and practice activities.
Successful candidates will also have a demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and multicultural competence in an educational and work environment and must be willing to support the Colleges mission and contribute to the strategic plan .
DUTIES :
The successful candidate will fulfill the duties of tenure track faculty to include:
Primary teaching responsibilities will be teaching seven courses (3-3-1) in the academic year including Introduction to Psychology; Research Methods sequence; Social Psychology; Theories of Personality; Health Psychology; Advanced Topics in psychology
Courses in the general education curriculum, and in individual areas of specialization.
The successful candidate will also mentor student research projects, advise program majors and minors, and engage in scholarship and service appropriate to the liberal arts setting.
