The Access & Reimbursement Director (ARD) is responsible for leading and coaching a team of Access & Reimbursement Managers (ARMs) who provide critical technical support related to coverage, coding, payment, and distribution of specialty biologic products. This role ensures alignment with GSK's ARM standards and policies while delivering exceptional customer support to expedite patient access.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Hire, train, and develop a high-performing ARM team to engage with customers on key access and reimbursement challenges and effectively manage patient cases.
- Inspire and motivate the team to build strong customer relationships, create awareness and provide education around support services and compliantly deliver appropriate reimbursement support within the accounts.
- Coach team members in person and virtually to maximize performance and address capability gaps, partnering with internal teams to provide targeted training and development.
- Compliance & Oversight:
- Ensure all team activities comply with GSK ARM Standards, ARM Ways, and regulatory guidelines governing reimbursement services.
- Provide management oversight and consistent training to maintain adherence to policies and procedures.
- Strategic Execution:
- Lead the implementation and pull-through of key patient access strategies and initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders at a high level, including Field Sales, Payer Marketing, Access Support Services, and Payer and Channel Accounts, to drive alignment and ensure effective customer engagement.
- Technical Expertise & Support:
- Serve as a subject matter expert on coverage, coding, payment, and affordability dynamics specific to specialty biologics.
- Train ARMs on technical payer policies, systems, and processes that impact patient access to GSK specialty products.
- Maintain a deep understanding of third-party reimbursement services and their compliant interaction with customers.
Why You?
Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Field Reimbursement Manager or 3 years of first-line field team leadership experience, showcasing expertise in access and reimbursement or team management in a field-based setting.
- A minimum of 1 year of cross-functional experience in a role with advanced responsibilities, such as first-line team leadership, training, operations, or market access, demonstrating the ability to collaborate across teams and drive strategic initiatives.
- Ability to travel up to 75% for field ride along days in each ARM territory a minimum of once per quarter.
- WEST Region - CA, WA, OR, ID, WY, AZ, NM, MN, ND, SD, NV, MT, CO, TX, OK, KS, NE, WI, IL, KY, AK, LA, AL, MS, KY, TN, AK, HI
- Bachelor's Degree & Valid driver's license required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated success in team coaching, capability development, and people management in the Oncology space.
- In-depth knowledge of technical payer policy processes and systems related to coverage, coding, and payment for specialty biologics.
- Experience with third-party reimbursement support services and compliance practices.
- Master's Degree in Public Health, Health Administration, or related field.
