TITLE: Business Analyst II
LOCATION: Maryland Heights, MO
JOB SUMMARY: Maintain complex data projects requiring advanced analytics to support operational efficiencies and strategic planning. Gather and record user stories and translate into business reporting requirements for new developments. Profile existing data to assess for business intelligence (BI) reporting within the assigned vertical channel. Optimize the performance of enterprise BI tools by defining data to filter and index which add value for the user. Develop business cases to support enterprise-wide business intelligence solutions. Formulate strategies and administer policies, processes, and resources. Lead complex data projects including advanced analytics to support operational efficiencies and strategic planning. Resolve highly complex problems requiring in-depth analysis of variable factors. Develop user test cases that map to functional requirements. Lead and evaluate success of user accepting testing. Ensure delivered products meet success criteria. Evaluate gaps for impact and determine path to resolve. Analyze and troubleshoot data and reports and support research and ad hoc querying. Visualize and report data findings and patterns to the stakeholders. Lead large-scale exploratory data analyses for new data sources and new uses for existing data sources. Utilize SQL to perform advanced queries against existing tables in a star or snowflake schema. Work with relational database structures to test data integration in a BI environment. Perform business analysis across a variety of industries, business functions, and technologies including MicroStrategy, MS Excel, or Tableau. Support data analytics.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, Data Analytics or related. 4 years of experience performing business analysis across a variety of industries, business functions, and technologies including at least one of the following: MicroStrategy, MS Excel, or Tableau. 3 years of experience utilizing SQL to perform advanced queries against existing tables. 2 years of experience in data analytics. 1 year of experience in relational database structures and data integration for data warehousing.
