Solution Architect (EV & DER) - Military Veterans

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Solution Architect (EV & DER). This will be a remote based position supporting the Central & Gulf Regions of the US. Only applicants who reside in these regions will be considered. Region includes North Dakota south to Texas and Nebraska east to Ohio. (ND, SD, NE, KS, OK, NM, TX, MN, IA, MO, AK, LA, WI, IL, IN, MI, OH)
As Eaton develops new solutions for Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging and Distributed Energy Resources (DER), the role of the Solution Architect becomes crucial. They are tasked with training and supporting our internal sales team and channel partners, and are responsible for driving sales growth in their designated regions for the specified products. The Solution Architect acts as a sales overlay and a subject matter expert. Their focus will be on the solution-based selling of our comprehensive hardware and software portfolio.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $101250.0 - $148500.0 a year.

What you’ll do:
- Stay closely engaged with Eaton’s sales teams and channel partners to gain mindshare and to collaboratively identify and close opportunities
- Build relationship both internally and externally
- Provide training and support to Eaton’s sales team, reps, channel partners and customers
- Work with the sales teams to identify and pursue key target accounts and opportunities
- Lead technical sales discussions and presentations
- Articulate Eaton’s solution both internally and externally
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers
- Work with the team to develop Eaton solution value propositions for key stakeholders.
- Respond to RFP documents, compose solution requirements and design, system customization and configuration, align offerings and be customers point of contact for maintaining the solution roadmap.
- Support existing and new account planning and strategy, to bring in Eaton content and grow hardware & software revenue in the region. Provides technical and sales consulting, support for major account opportunities.
- Stay current with latest technologies and standard in relation to utility demand management & DER integration and Electric Vehicle Charging.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Two (2) years experience in power distribution or EV charging
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now and in the future.
- Ability to travel up to 75% of time within assigned region(s)
- Must reside within assigned region(s)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business-related field from an accredited institution
- Two (2) years of technical sales experience
- Experience working in electrical, power management or utility industries
- Experience with developing and translating business use cases to solution requirements and architecture documentation.
- Experience in development and deployment of DER systems and/or EV Charging.

- Change agent for customers/clients, sales organization, working through influence, trust and evangelism of new ideas for software solution development and selling. Be the champion in bridging the gap between customers and our engineering & product development teams.
- Excellent client/customer facing skills, ability to clearly articulate Eaton's offering and value propositions
- Complex problem-solving skills in a highly matrixed organization. Ability to manage multiple projects at a time and drive broader team to meet deployment timelines.
