Position Title: Postdoc Research Associate Appointment Type: Post Doc/Trainee Job Description: Summary of Duties and Responsibilities: The Department of Mathematics at Iowa State University invites applications for a two year postdoctoral position with possible extension to a third year subject to availability of funding. The expected start date is August 16, 2025 and the end date is Jun 30, 2027. This opening is in mathematical logic aligning with research interests of Prof. James Hanson. This includes model theory, neostability theory, and interactions between logic and real analysis including continuous logic and the model theory of metric structures. The position has a 2-1 teaching load and a requirement to be involved with mentoring undergraduate students in research through the Iowa State Math Research Teams (ISMaRT, https://sites.google.com/view/ismart-iastate).
