Sr. Quality Technician - Military Veterans

What we need

We are looking for a Senior Quality Technician to join our Quality team. Your job will be to ensure that all products meet Symbotic's quality standards before they reach the customer, by leading inspections and contributing to quality improvement initiatives. You will achieve this through inspecting and testing products, documenting results, solving problems and identifying root causes, striving for continuous improvement, and collaborating cross functionally across the organization, specifically with but not limited to the production team.

This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, knowledge of quality standards (such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing), and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment. Familiarity with robotics, automation systems, or electromechanical components is often a plus.

What you'll do

  • Lead detailed inspections and testing of robotic components, subsystems, and finished products.

  • Develop inspection protocols for new products or processes in collaboration with engineers.

  • Analyze inspection results and testing data to identify trends, recurring defects, and potential issues.

  • Work directly with production teams to address and resolve quality issues on the manufacturing/repair floor.

  • Assist in internal audits and ensure adherence to regulatory and safety standards.

  • Mentor and train junior technicians on advanced quality methods and equipment.

What you'll need

  • Associate degree in a technical field or relevant experience required . Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar Quality Technician role, preferably in robotics or related industry.

  • Advanced expertise in quality control techniques and tools.

  • Strong understanding of robotics manufacturing processes and quality standards.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Leadership skills, with the ability to guide and train others.

  • Proven ability to thrive in face base, in high-tech manufacturing settings.

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and be highly organized.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks.

Our Environment

  • Up to 10% of travel may be required . Employees must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.

  • The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed bi-weekly.

  • Ability to lift and handle components up to 25 lbs.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

  • Ability to work in front of a computer and perform administrative tasks .
