What You Can Expect
As our Procurement Assistant, Intern, at The Ohio State University. You will be responsible for assisting an ENGIE project manager with the purchasing, document management, and invoicing for the Combined Heat and Powerplant (CHP) project. The position will assist with administering service contracts and purchase agreements in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Every day you will be exposed to numerous construction and project management processes and will be expected to assist as needed. You will report to the Project Management I. The internship work term will be January 2025 - May 30th, 2025, 10-20 hours per week minimum.
What You'll Bring
- You are currently enrolled as a sophomore, junior, or senior student at The Ohio State University, pursuing a bachelor's degree
- You must have a minimum of 1 year completed course work within business, sustainability, finance or related program
- You will assist the local project manager with materials procurement and subcontracting agreements related to the CHP project
- You will use Microsoft Excel to track and report on various financial metrics for the project
- You must work cohesively with internal and external stakeholders and work closely on projects directly related to the university
- Areas of possible work assignment include compiling financial data, timekeeping records, development of local procurement processes, and maintaining the procurement status report
Additional Details
- This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
- Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license/may drive company vehicle
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
- This position consists of 10% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions
- Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
- Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Other duties as assigned
Compensation
Hourly Range: $21.00 to $23.00 USD hourly
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
