Fund Finance
The Fund Finance team provides fund-level financing to private equity funds and other asset managers through structured credit facilities. Fund Finance is part of the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB). Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigation and compliance-driven culture that firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company.
The Analyst level role is available on the Underwriting and Execution team within Fund Finance:
Underwriting and Execution
- U&E is responsible for originating, underwriting, and executing subscription facilities. Daily responsibilities include preparing borrowing base calculations, writing credit memos, and liaising with internal and external transaction intermediaries throughout the underwriting, booking, and closing process.
In this role, you will:
- Create detailed financial models to analyze capital strategies for clients
- Prepare marketing documents, including pitch materials and term sheets
- Conduct extensive financial and industry due diligence to evaluate the risk/return parameters of a transaction
- Support senior bankers in their relationship management responsibilities, including interaction with current and prospective clients
- Participate in all aspects of deal coordination, including conducting due diligence efforts, drafting and reviewing materials and liaising with potential buyers, other advisors and team members
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ months of Investment Banking Program experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- 6+ months of capital markets experience
- Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
- Strong financial modeling skills
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Bachelor's Degree with academic distinction and coursework in financial accounting and corporate finance
- Experience in investment banking
- Professional experience through internships, part-time or full-time work, and/or extracurricular activities
- Dedication to building a career in Investment Banking
- Ability to work collaboratively in a demanding, highly focused, deadline driven, fast paced team environment, with a sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving results
Job Expectations:
- Registration FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
- Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
- Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
- Ability to travel up to 5%
- Willingness to work 55-70+ hours per week, depending on workload
