Detailed Description:
The Manager works directly for the Assistant Dean of the Graduate, International and Certificate Programs to plan, develop and implement continuing legal education projects, both in-person and online, including certificate programs, short courses, seminars, and workshops for national and international markets. The Manager will work closely with the Assistant Dean to draft new academic initiatives, outreach materials, marketing content, and material as needed for each project. The Manager will collaborate with faculty, administrators, staff, alumni, vendors, prospective students and course participants, vendors, contractors, to produce 15 to 20 projects for each year for the Graduate Office, ensuring that such projects are aligned with the strategic goals of the law school and within the budgets established. The Manager will also collaborate with other departments, such as the Marketing and Communications Department, to create material that follows the proper use of the school's graphic standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Project Management
Under the supervision of the Assistant Dean, oversee the development, marketing, sales, and implementation of new academic initiatives, including certificate programs, seminars, workshops, and other continuing legal education projects both in-person and online.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate academic projects for the Office of Graduate, International and Certificate Programs with the assistance of subject matter experts.
- Work with Assistant Dean, Associate Director, Assistant Director, Academic Program Directors, professors, and with cross-functional partners to develop new academic initiatives that can be presented to the Academic Curriculum Committee, where appropriate.
- Manage and coordinate marketing efforts, registration, and oversee all aspects of an academic project from the planning stage to the final accounting.
- Responsible for developing a budget proposal for each project, ensures each project complies with the approved budget, and provides regular financial reports to the Assistant Dean.
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications Department to develop a strategy for marketing all new programs.
- Identify market needs for new project including training, seminars, and/or other short courses.
- Lead outreach to national and international institutional partners to create tailor made programs based on their needs and promote all programs.
- Manage and coordinate materials for all projects.
- Supervise Department Coordinator in the contracting and payment of all vendors, instructors, and others paid in a project.
- Work with Department Coordinator on financial reporting data and maintenance of all financial information.
- Collaborate with Assistant Director, Associate Director, and Program Directors on promoting all academic graduate programs and special projects.
- Oversees new content development, video development, and collaborates with administrators and faculty for all social media content to publicize new academic projects.
Law School Website/Social Media Strategist
Supervises the social media strategy for all new academic projects in the Graduate Office across website, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn and other social media channels that reach the law school's audiences.
- Revitalizes social media and website with consistent branding and regular updates to achieve improved analytics.
- Ensures website/social media platforms are relevant and compelling
- Directs external vendor(s) secured to assist with social media campaign implementation.
Travel
- Meets with national and international partners, potential participants, prospective students, and other stakeholders to explore new initiatives and/or to market existing Graduate Office programs.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Three to five years' experience in related field required: legal education and/or higher education continuing education. Graduate degree with two to three years' experience in related field may be substituted.
- Bilingual required - Spanish/English preferred.
- Must have the ability to work independently and creatively to work with subject experts to develop courses.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, including tact, diplomacy and flexibility, as well as the ability to work with all levels of individuals and groups including faculty, staff, students, alumni and outside vendors.
- Demonstrated ability to examine projects, establish budgets, and evaluate feasibility.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully execute all phases of an academic initiative proposal until implementation and evaluation.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively use Excel to analyze and communicate financial data.
- Ability to prioritize, plan and schedule a variety of different projects.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
- Must be highly flexible and have solid problem-solving skills.
- Must have strong initiative and the ability to complete assignments independently and without close supervision.
- Must be able to execute projects from concept through completion.
- Must demonstrate a high level of accuracy to ensure that all projects and products are produced and disseminated correctly.
- Basic knowledge of current marketing communication techniques, including social media.
- Basic knowledge of various software applications used in the development of print and digital communications/productions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree preferred.

The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience, education and other factors including departmental budget.
