Assistant Teaching Professor in Atlantic History, Department of History Georgetown University: Main Campus: College of Arts & Sciences: History Location: Washington, DC Open Date: Sep 19, 2024 Deadline: Nov 01, 2025 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time Description The Department of History at Georgetown University seeks an Assistant Teaching Professor in Atlantic History, for a three-year term with a start date in August 2025. The preference is for a candidate with a focus on Brazil or the Caribbean world. The successful candidate will teach a 2-3 load (two courses in Fall, three in Spring), including the Atlantic History survey course and thematic undergraduate courses at both the introductory (General Education) and upper levels, on topics to be determined by the candidate in consultation with the department. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in History in hand prior to the appointment start date. Review of applications will begin on November 1, 2024 .
