Machine Maintenance Technician



As a Machine Maintenance Technician here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our manufacturing machines. Your expertise in machine maintenance and troubleshooting will be essential in minimizing downtime, optimizing production efficiency, and ensuring the highest quality of our products.

You will report directly to our Facilities Maintenance Manager and work out of our facility in Freeport, Illinois on an on-site work schedule. This role will initially be a 1st shift position with the expectation it could move to 2nd and/or 3rd shifts. This will be a starting level position with the expectation the successful candidate will advance to a R&O Maintenance Technician.

In this role, you will have a direct impact on our manufacturing operations by:

- Performing routine maintenance and inspections on machines to ensure they are operating at peak performance.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with machines, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions.
- Conducting repairs and replacements of faulty machine parts to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including production and engineering, to optimize machine performance and resolve technical issues.
- Following safety protocols and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations to maintain a safe working environment.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform routine maintenance and inspections on manufacturing machines.

The annual base salary range for this position is <$min - 40300.00 $mid - 50400.00 - >. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.



YOU MUST HAVE

Minimum of 3 years of experience in machine maintenance/setup or a related field.
Strong knowledge of machine troubleshooting and repair techniques.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.


WE VALUE

Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience with CNC machines or other automated manufacturing equipment.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance strategies.
Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in machine maintenance.
