Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a C&L Infrastructure Mission Subsystems Systems Engineering Manager 3. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
As the C&L Infrastructure Mission Subsystems Systems Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of approximately 30 systems engineers across multiple domains and disciplines. The successful candidate should be detailed oriented and be able to work collaboratively with multiple remote teams and disciplines.
What You’ll Get To Do:
Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:
• Lead the Systems Engineering Capabilities activities for the Command & Launch Infrastructure element.
• Coordinate vertically and horizontally with multiple engineering teams and organizations.
• Coordinate with customer and supplier engineering teams.
• Coordinate Incremental Functional Capability activities to shape team priorities.
• Lead Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) coordinating with specialty engineering teams.
• Organize and lead execution of multiple Critical Design Review events.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 8 years related experience
• 3 years in a formal management position
• Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience
• Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
• An active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with Special Access Program (SAP)
• ICBM Experience
• Experience managing programs or subcontracts in an Earned Value framework – Control Account Manager certified
• Strong understanding and broad application of engineering systems (engineering standards, configuration management, material review board, process control, tooling, facilities, software, etc.)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and present to project and program management, other technical managers, and customers.
• Excellent technical writing skills, and team building skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience with high value customer presentations, with ability to focus on multiple projects with competing priorities
• Demonstrated experience in making sound decisions in uncertain and difficult situations
*Salary Range: *$161,500 - $242,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
