Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Tax Analyst to join our team! In this role you will get to implement corporate tax strategy and administers tax affairs assisting in the quarterly and yearly tax provision and ensuring compliance with ASC740 and with federal, state, local and foreign tax laws.
What You’ll Be Doing
Preparation and review of the quarterly and year-end consolidated tax provision under ASC 740 ensuring compliance with SOX.
Initiate and execute the overall process to forecast the company’s effective tax rate and global cash tax payments for annual and strategic planning purposes as well as quarterly forecasts. Coordinate inputs from stakeholders. Understand completed models and factors driving results.
Collaborate across the tax organization to understand and model changes in tax laws, corporate structure, and accounting rules and their effect on the company’s effective tax rate and cash tax position.
Prepare tax related footnotes and disclosures for 10-K and 10-Q filings with the SEC.
Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns and forms as assigned. Ensures compliance with all tax regulations. May negotiate with tax officials to receive favorable resolution of tax issues/audits.
Ensure all deferred taxes are properly recorded and supported, and establishing appropriate valuation allowances.
Collaborate with Finance management and accounting staff on tax accounting issues and prepare quarterly tax entries.
Prepare miscellaneous tax studies and assignments as required by Tax Management.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related field)
At least 6+ years of relevant experience implementing corporate tax strategy within a large, multinational corporation including at least 2 years with a Public Accounting firm. Such experience should also include preparation of Federal and state income taxes for a multi-state international corporation.
Knowledge and experience with ASC 740 accounting for income taxes
Excellent computer skills with knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, advanced excel knowledge preferred.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Detail oriented who takes ownership of tasks with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Telecommute with 20% ability and willingness to go into the Pasadena office.
Sense of urgency, quick learner with a positive “can do” attitude.
Able to work as part of a team and under pressure, handle multiple tasks and meet required deadlines.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring

CPA certification (not required, but a plus)
