Position Title: Research Scientist II - Breeding and Genetics

Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree and 2 years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in Plant Breeding/Plant Science/Plant Genetics with related experience in plant science domain research areas.
Experience working in projects involving plant sciences research, particularly in genetics, breeding and biotechnology.
Published first authored or first co-authored peer-reviewed technical journal article(s) in plant genetics and biotechnology.
Experience in soybean research particularly in diseases and nematode related projects.
Experience in DNA/RNA related research and working with GC/HPLC.
Job Description:
The Research Scientist will oversee the operation of a specialized research area or laboratory focused on plant breeding, genetics, and agronomy. As an integral member of the A.K. Singh and Arti Singh groups, this individual will contribute to interdisciplinary research projects within the Soynomics team, which integrates expertise in plant breeding, genetics, phenomics, agronomy, engineering and AI.
The role involves designing, implementing, and managing complex experiments in breeding, genetics, agronomy, and genomics. The Research Scientist will lead a team of students and researchers, driving interdisciplinary projects centered on breeding and culti as well as:
