What You Will Do

• Set up and operate inspection equipment including CMM’s, roundness/straightness equipment and surface analyzer.
• Manually inspect dimensions and features on a surface plate.
• Inspect features using optical comparators.
• Perform audits on certified operators per the QMS requirements.
• Understand all Geometric callouts and how to inspect to print requirements.
• Perform preliminary review of discrepant product.
• Utilize company NCM computer systems.
• Must be able in 2-hour increments with or without a reasonable accommodation sitting/standing/walking, bending/twisting, kneeling/squatting/crawling, reaching, grasping/gripping/pinching/fine manipulation,
• Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 lbs with or without a reasonable accommodation, anything over 25 lbs would need to be assisted.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned.
• Other physical demands:  May have contact with coolants and oils (petroleum based products) and chemical vapors from products during the normal inspection process.
• 3rd Shift: Sunday – Thursday, 11:00 pm – 7:00 am
• Training schedule: 1st Shift: Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 3:00 pm ~90 days

What You Will Learn

• The fundamentals of the Quality Department and will work with the team on critical to quality items.  

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a HS Diploma or GED with a minimum of 1 year relevant experience or in the absence of a HS Diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience

• U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with basic measuring instruments and hand tools
• Experience with mathematical calculations (add and subtract decimals)
• Experience reading blueprints
• Experience with mechanical aptitude
