Senior Firewall Engineer - CheckPoint - Military Veterans

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Firewall Engineer - Checkpoint to join a team supporting the DOL in Suitland, MD. The Senior Firewall Engineer will design, implement, and manage CheckPoint Firewall Solutions

Responsibilities of the Senior Firewall Engineer include:

• Design and implement CheckPoint Firewall Solutions to ensure the security needs of the organization are met.
• Create policy, manage rules, and upgrade hardware and software systems
• Manage and troubleshoot Cisco Firepower Remote VPN and AnyConnect deployments
• Configure firewalls within an AWS Environment
• Train and mentor junior engineers on CheckPoint Firewall Technologies

Qualifications for the Senior Firewall Engineer include:

• 10+ years of experience with Checkpoint Firewalls
• Experience with Solarwinds or Wireshark
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Public Trust clearance

Compensation for the Senior Firewall Engineer include:

• Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000 **depending on experience**
