Job Description
HII Mission Technologies, a leading provider of advanced defense and military solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced MRAP Family of Vehicles Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the maintenance, operation, and enhancement of Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles used by military forces.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Provide management support for the MRAP FoV Integrated Maintenance Database System (IMDS) for approximately 290 weapon systems and associated mission support equipment (MSE). Actions include training deployed Vehicle Maintenance personnel on IMDS data input, providing technical assistance as needed, and ensuring accountability.
- Assist in coordinating maintenance for 9AF AFCENT MRAPs by deployed personnel and contracted Field Service Representatives (FSRs). Actions include providing technical assistance with Time Compliance Technical Orders, monitoring preventive maintenance intervals, and ensuring all modifications are approved by Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex (WR‐ALC) and the ACC Weapon System Team (WST).
- Monitor, analyze, and assess the individual requirements for MRAP mechanics and operators deployed to the USCENTCOM AOR
- Task WRM and deployed units to complete Limited Technical Inspections (LTIs) and retrofitworkbooks for the purpose of obtaining accountability and shippinginstructions.
- Provide technical support and expertise for the MRAP family of vehicles, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to identify and implement vehicle improvements and upgrades.
- Conduct regular inspections and performance evaluations of MRAP vehicles to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation on vehicle performance, maintenance activities, and improvement recommendations.
- Liaise with military clients to understand their evolving needs and provide solutions to enhance vehicle capabilities.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in military vehicle technology and incorporate relevant innovations into existing systems.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely availability of components.
- Participate in field exercises and deployments to provide on-site support and gather real-world performance data (as required).
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and military standards.
Minimum Qualifications
0 years experience with Bachelors in related field or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of MRAP program management experience.
- Minimum of two years' experience utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under pressure.
- In-depth knowledge of MRAP vehicle systems, including propulsion, suspension, electrical, and protective systems.
- Experience with technical writing and documentation.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required. Active US Passport required and meet visa requirements for travel to USCENTCOM AOR countries.
- Secret Security Clearance required
Preferred Requirements
- 5 years MRAP program management experience with Bachelors in related field
- Military service experience, particularly in vehicle maintenance or operations.
- Certification in automotive or heavy vehicle maintenance.
- Experience with vehicle armor systems and ballistic protection technologies.
- Knowledge of IED detection and mitigation technologies.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Capable of working in various environmental conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including to active military zones if required.
