SUMMARY
This role manages the analytics side of the Strategy and Analytics team, which in addition to key tactical and strategic responsibilities includes the management of a Data Analyst.
Key tactical and strategic responsibilities include proposing and leading Marketing/Research tentpole initiatives, developing and implementing procedural improvements to the analytics practice, and driving innovation and automation efforts within the MR&I team and for several cross functional teams as main stakeholders. While collaborating closely with the Insights Manager from the Strategy & Analytics team, this role will be responsible for ideating and executing research thought leadership pieces that position Spectrum Reach as an innovator in the advertising industry and provide sales teams with insights that can be activated for clients. With a heightened focus on understanding all of Spectrum Reach’s offerings, you will support product positioning by enhancing the quality of data-supported insights.
The role requires a strong technical understanding of analytics, advertising technologies, and product development processes. There will need to be able to communicate effectively to a wide-range of stakeholders with varying strengths of knowledge and management levels.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Actively support the Marketing organization’s initiatives and priority messages with curated, best-in-class insights.
- Utilize analytics and data visualization to support decision making and story-telling that drives business initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional groups within the marketing team to develop product and research specific communication plans.
- Liaise between BI&I, Advanced Strategy and Activation, Business Development, and Product Development teams to direct and assist in activation and development cycles.
- Assist with maintenance and feature enhancements for products by facilitating communications between stakeholders from business needs and technical operations perspectives.
- Support the construction and training for sales strategies and best practices developed in this role.
- Monitor and report on projects to provide updates to marketing leadership.
- Audit reporting and dashboards through usage tracking and re-occurring evaluations.
- Interact with external vendors and partners when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Technical skills:
- Expert in Media Math and applicable in industry software (Nielsen, Comscore, Scarborough, etc.)
- Microsoft Excel Expertise
- SQL Experience
- Python a plus
- Experience: 5+ years of integrated Marketing, Agency, Media and/or Ad Sales
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business or equivalent work experience
- Technical skills: Expertise in Nielsen, Google Analytics, Comscore, Scarborough, MRI, Kantar, BIA/Kelsey, and eMarketer
- Skills: Excellent oral and written communications
- Abilities: Organize and multitask work flow, Establish strong relationships
- Travel Ability: Travel to local and regional offices and events

- General understanding of Business Intelligence tools
- Managing large datasets
