Cooling Tower Technician - Hunton Services - Military Veterans

Hunton Services, a division of the Hunton Group (www.huntongroup.com), is seeking to hire a mechanically inclined Cooling Tower Technician to join our team. The Cooling Tower Technician will be responsible for assisting with the construction, erection, installation, and repair of structures and fixtures related to cooling towers. The ideal candidate must have experience with cooling tower fills and drift eliminators.

Responsibilities:

• Perform and assist with the removal and installation of cooling tower fills and drift eliminators; fan decking and hot water basin decking along with associated components; fiberglass walls, louvers and supports; in addition to wood and FRP stairways and ladders.



• Assist with marking, cutting and assembly line of materials.



• Ability to bolt and nail structures as directed.



• Accomplish operational mission by completing related results as needed.

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of construction safety guidelines (OSHA 10 preferred)



• Must have a good driving record.



• Must be reliable and have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.



• Must be willing to submit to pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and drug screen.



• Basic understanding of duct mechanics and how it affects Indoor Air Quality, Mechanical experience is a plus.

The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock (high voltage); and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
