Data Center Fiber Foreman - Military Veterans

Qualifications:
- One Year Certificate from College or Tech School or a combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 12 to 18+ months of direct data center experience in installing and routing optical fiber in large scale Tier 3 or 4 facilities.
- 2+ years or more managing teams of inside plant (preferably data center) cabling technicians.
- Recent functional knowledge of Inside Plant (ISP) disciplines, data center infrastructure technologies including fiber optic and electrical cabling, labeling, and lacing conforming to telecom industry standards.
- BICSI (INSTF, TECH, DCDC) and/or FOA (CFOT, CFOS/S, CFOS/T CFOS/DC) or equivalent knowledge preferred.
- Experience communicating with peers or customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
- Experience with small or medium to large, complex project scopes and ambiguous details within work environment.
- Must have functional experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, Teams, Project, etc).
- Experience with NVIDIA Data Center installs is a plus
- The ability to adapt, make decisions and collaborate is particularly important.
- Ability to prioritize and use time management practices as well as prioritize tasks based on fluctuating needs.
- Ability to use judgement and analytical skills in complex installations.
- Up to 75% domestic travel

What will you be doing?
Data Center Fiber Foreman reporting into our Technical Delivery and Engineering practice capable of performing onsite foreman/leadership duties, ensuring quality workmanship is achieved in accordance with industry standards and technical documentation, and perform hands-on work where necessary, on behalf of WWT at various customer locations and oversee the work for partner resources and subcontractors.
Responsibilities:
- Perform as the onsite lead & liaison for partner resources, data center facilities, and subcontractors. Collaborate across teams as needed to ensure successful project execution.
- Supervise the overall on-site project technical requirements including staging, staffing, implementation, and physical infrastructure testing / troubleshooting.
- Ensure cabling, labeling, as-builts, site documents, and deliverables comply with the client's requirements, industry standards, and best practices for data center infrastructure.
- Maintain the safety, technical, and security policy systems in and on the data center property.
- Advise and provide procurement modifications to the inventory and bill of materials.
- Integrate various components based on the provided slotting matrix/cabling diagrams.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure the integrity and reliability of Layer 1 infrastructure buildouts.
- As required, perform hands-on work including pulling, securing, routing, splicing, and testing cable.
