IT Desktop Support Engineer



This IT Desktop Support Engineer role is ideal for a team-oriented individual with high customer service standards. As part of Workforce Services team, you will provide critical desktop, laptop, mobile device and post hardware support. The candidate will need to have a strong sense of empathy and highly tuned interpersonal skills, with the desire and ability to help business partners in all teams.





RESPONSIBILITIES





  • Answer, evaluate and provide guidance to associates experiencing problems with hardware, software, LAN/WAN connectivity, telecom, mobile devices (iPhones and iPads), email and other desktop/laptop (Mac & PC) related issues


  • Provide excellent customer service over the phone, remotely and in person


  • Train current and incoming associates on use of existing and future IT applications and devices


  • Document all steps taken into Service-Now tickets, resolve tickets or escalate appropriately


  • Frontline IT support for on-boarding, off-boarding, shipping/receiving/imaging of all computer devices, and setup and configuration of mobile devices






REQUIREMENTS





  • 2+ years of Desktop Support experience focused on desktop, laptop and mobile device hardware


  • Superb customer service skills


  • Demonstrated abilities to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines with efficiency and accuracy


  • Strong problem solving, organization and project management skills, with a willingness and desire to take responsibility, accountability and ownership


  • Ability to work outside of normal working hours to complete tasks, including occasional weekends/evenings


  • Proactive and self-motivated in approach to work tasks






TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS





  • Operating Systems: Windows, Mac OS X, Linux


  • Apple, A+, MCP certifications a plus


  • iOS Mobile Device Management (with JAMF or other MDM) a plus

Additional Skills & Qualifications:





  • About 50 printers company wide. This role is semi demanding, a lot of color matching requirements , calibrate , more then just changing toner. Pushing out drivers to all of its users.


  • Working with JAMF & Intune for MDM


  • Day to day will be to calibrate those machines, about 3 color machines. It’s a standard process. Troubleshooting connectivity issues, errors. Day to day maintenance of machines. Person would visit the production printers and use printer logic to maintain all the other printers via dashboard.


  • Color Printers, Multifunction Printers, Production machines (Ricoh's) you would see that a Kinko’s. They use those printers to print many things. All the tools are in place, there is documentation, would get some training from other team members.


  • Person will be able to gain experience assisting with A/V stuff and become a telecom liaison. More opportunity to do other stuff.


  • Will need to be onsite 5 days a week. Vaccination but tested weekly.
