Federal Electrical Superintendent - Military Veterans

Panhandle Power Solutions is seeking a self-motivated, deadline-driven Electrical Superintendent to successfully oversee the day-to-day operations of our Federal construction projects on the Space Coast. As Electrical Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the project and managing the on-site construction team. This candidate must ensure orderliness on-site, compliance with safety regulations, adherence to quality standards, and timely availability of equipment and materials on site. This candidate will also aide in coordinating inspection authorities as necessary to obtain approvals. You will liaise with inspection authorities regarding approvals.
PPS is looking to hire one Federal Electrical Superintendent for an ongoing project at MacDill AFB in Florida. The candidate MUST have experience working on Federal property and able to pass a background check/security clearance. Procore experience is a highly desirable. This position will likely include travel to other sites / projects once this one has concluded in two years.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

• Lead and manage the on-site construction team.



• Coordinate and oversee all work on site



• Work with/as Project Manager to develop project schedules and updates



• Work with/as Project Management Team & Subcontractors to schedule manpower and equipment.



• Participate in regular progress meetings with project stakeholders



• Ensure quality standards are met



• Interface daily with crew foremen to ascertain their needs, problems and job progress



• Lead and manage the on-site construction team



• Place orders for materials, and responsible for equipment and materials on site



• Follow the project timeline to ensure deadlines are met



• Monitor and ensure on-site safety compliance, cleanliness and orderliness



• Maintain records for site personnel such as daily field reports, field orders and RFIs



• Interface with inspection authorities regarding approvals

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required



• A minimum of 4 years construction/electrical supervisory experience

Work Requirements

• Experience with Medium Voltage



• Knowledge of USACE and other DOD construction requirements



• Must have experience with Commercial Construction



• Must be U.S. citizen



• Background Screening will take place

• Previous Superintendent experience on Federal property



• Ability to lead and manage change through continuous performance improvement in employee development, quality, safety, and production



• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization



• Ability to interpret and build according to drawings, specifications and other documents



• Familiarity with Procore construction management software is required

• Standard Driver’s License



• OSHA 10 Hour Outreach Training



• OSHA 30 Hour Outreach Training (Preferred)
