Tower Ground Tech II (must live in the DFW area) - Military Veterans

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Ground Technician II. This position plays a crucial role in supporting our field operations by providing assistance with equipment, tools, and logistical support necessary for the successful completion of cell tower projects. The Ground Technician II will work closely with our field teams to ensure the efficient and safe execution of tasks on site.

Key Responsibilities:

*Assist in the setup and breakdown of equipment and tools required for cell tower construction, maintenance, and optimization projects.

*Perform site surveys and inspections to assess ground conditions, access routes, and safety hazards.

*Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment from trucks and trailers at project sites.

*Operate machinery such as forklifts, skid steers, and other construction equipment as needed.

*Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment, tools, and work areas to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

*Assist in the installation and assembly of various components on cell towers, including power plants, batteries, PDU's, BBU's OVP's, Power Shifts and any other components necessary for cell site operation.

*Experience with AC and DC circuits, fiber, and cable management.

*Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

*Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and prioritize work assignments.

*Provide support to field technicians and other personnel as needed to facilitate the timely completion of projects.

*Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the position.

Qualifications:

*High school diploma or equivalent.

*Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within the telecommunications, construction, or related industry.

*Proficiency in the operation of hand and power tools commonly used in construction and maintenance work.

*Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, outdoor environment and adapt to changing priorities and conditions.

*Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety protocols and procedures.

*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

*Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

*Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to project sites as needed.

*Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.

Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
